Transition Insight Session: February 8, 2017

One of the programs run by T1DTTN is "The Insight Session” which is an opportunity for a select group of people living with type 1 diabetes and health care providers to sit together in an open, safe, non-judgmental format to share experiences. We used interactive and entertaining methods to establish new channels of communication between everyone involved in the delivery of care.

On February 8, 2017, we held the next in our series of Insight Sessions, bringing together a select group of young people living with Type 1 diabetes with endocrinologists, diabetes educators, and other healthcare providers.

Watch our summary below!

The objective was to discover new ways to integrate the true patient experience into clinical practice. At the end of the day we kickstarted a new discourse in how we define, understand, and improve the outcomes of the transition age group (18-29 yrs.) and the T1 patient journey.

This special event, running from 5:30PM-9:30PM, was organized by the T1 Diabetes Think Tank Network (T1DTTN). If you would like more information about the program, please email your interest to Michael Houlahan, Executive Director, T1DTTN by clicking here.
